We are committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of individuals whose photos are processed through our API. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Developer account data: Name, company, email address, use case description, and API usage statistics.
Photo processing data: When you submit photo URLs, we temporarily download and process the images to extract mathematical face embeddings (512-dimensional vectors). The original images are deleted immediately after processing — we do not store photos.
API usage logs: Request timestamps, endpoint accessed, response codes, and call counts for billing and security purposes.
Face embeddings (mathematical vectors) are stored in secure, isolated indexes namespaced to your API key. They are not accessible to other API users. Embeddings cannot be reverse-engineered to reconstruct the original face image — they are mathematical representations only.
As an API user, you are the data controller for any personal data you process through our API. You must:
Face embeddings are retained as long as your account is active. Upon account termination, all embeddings are deleted within 30 days. You can request deletion of specific event indexes at any time via api@cloudface-ai.com.
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). API keys use HMAC-SHA256 request signing. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.
Our servers are located in Germany (Hetzner). By using our API, you consent to your data being processed in Germany subject to EU data protection standards.
