API Usage Policy

CloudFace Vision™ is proprietary technology owned by Elephic Intelligence Private Limited Access to this API is granted strictly under the terms below. Violation of any term results in immediate, permanent revocation of API access without refund.

1. Who can use this API

CloudFace Vision™ API access is granted to registered developers and companies who have been individually approved by Elephic Intelligence Private Limited Access is non-transferable and tied to the registered email and company at the time of application.

2. Permitted use

You may use the CloudFace Vision™ API to:

Build applications that deliver event photos to attendees using face recognition
Integrate face search into your own platform for your own customers
Power internal enterprise tools for photo organization and delivery
Build government or institutional systems with prior written approval

3. Strictly prohibited use

⚠️ The following uses will result in immediate and permanent API key revocation:

Building a competing product — You may not use this API to build, power, or enhance any product or service that competes directly or indirectly with CloudFace AI (cloudface-ai.com) or CloudFace Vision (vision.cloudface-ai.com)
Reselling API access — You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the CloudFace Vision™ API to third parties without explicit written permission
Reverse engineering — You may not attempt to reverse engineer, extract, replicate, or reproduce the CloudFace Vision Engine™, its models, embeddings, or algorithms
Surveillance — You may not use this API for mass surveillance, tracking individuals without their consent, or any application that violates privacy laws
Illegal purposes — You may not use this API for any purpose that violates applicable law, including India's DPDP Act 2023, GDPR, or any other applicable data protection regulation
Harmful applications — You may not use this API to identify, track, or target individuals for harassment, discrimination, or harm

4. Intellectual property

CloudFace Vision Engine™ is the exclusive intellectual property of Elephic Intelligence Private Limited All face recognition models, embedding algorithms, API architecture, and associated technology are proprietary and protected under applicable intellectual property law.

The name "CloudFace Vision Engine™" and the CloudFace Vision brand are registered trademarks of Elephic Intelligence Private Limited You may reference this API in your documentation as "Powered by CloudFace Vision Engine™" only with prior written approval.

5. Data and privacy

When you submit photo URLs to the API:

Photos are downloaded temporarily, processed for face embeddings, then deleted
Only mathematical face embedding vectors are stored, not actual images
Embeddings are namespaced to your API key and inaccessible to other users
You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from individuals whose photos you submit
You must comply with all applicable privacy laws in your jurisdiction

6. Rate limits and fair use

Each plan includes a monthly API call limit. Exceeding the limit will result in requests being rejected until the next billing cycle. Attempting to circumvent rate limits (multiple accounts, credential sharing, etc.) is prohibited and will result in permanent account termination.

7. Service availability

Elephic Intelligence Private Limited makes reasonable efforts to maintain API availability but does not guarantee uptime. Enterprise plans include SLA guarantees — contact us for details. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the API with reasonable notice.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate any API key at any time, with or without notice, for violation of this policy. Free tier accounts may be terminated without notice. Paid accounts will receive a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the current billing period in case of termination by us without cause.

9. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of the CloudFace Vision™ API shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.
